And it was an encouraging day on the Little Arkansas River for the Shocker Crew. Though they crossed the finish line first but once in three tries, they took the Bulldogs' eights right down to the wire. The one home victory came in the Novice Men's Eights - the most promising performance of the day - turning back a determined stretch drive by the dark-jerseyed visitors. / photos by Brian Corn. p. 10
