    Photograph(s): May Queen, Jane Gates. p. 1 -- Persian New Year: The WSU International Club presented its second annual Persian New Year Friday night in the CAC Ballroom. Students, faculty and International Club members attended. The Persian New Year, a coat and tie affair this year, attracted good attendance. A television, was provided for the Shocker-UCLA basketball game. Last year's Persian Festival featured a variety show and included dances from other countries. This year's program included entertainment, refreshments and the band of John Rapoza. p. 2 -- Heroes abound: Cadet Sgt. Dale Terry, member of the Pershing Rifles, won the 2nd place trophy in individual competition at the 17th Invitational Drill Team Competition at the University of Illinois at Champaign, March 14. WSU Pershing Rifles placed 4th out of the 50 participating schools and more than 300 individuals. Captain Donald Rector, Pershing Rifles sponsor, accompanied the team to Champaign. p. 3
