The Shockers [won] the game 59-48 to clinch at least a tie for the MVC championship. p. 1 -- WSU's best: Miss Sharon Hodgson was recently chosen from among Wichita State's freshman and varsity cheerleader as candidate for the Miss Cheerleader USA contest. Her pictures have been sent to the contest in Cyprus Gardens Fla. Results of the preliminary judging will be announced next week. p. 2 -- Gimme the ball: Shocker senior Dave Leach ties up Tulsa's Rick Park for a jump ball. The Shockers won 59-48 as Leach scored 10 points and pulled down five rebounds. p. 5
