Photograph(s): Furrows of freshly dumped earth has replaced the green grass outside of the Ulrich Museum of Art. Why? Bad sod, say the student workers on the scene. Seems the original sod put in last year was so ladened with a fine thatch undergrowth, it caused brown-outs during the summer. The solution? Dig up all the grass, condition the ground, spread some new dirt, and (eventually) plant new grass. / photo by Brian Corn. p. 1 -- Danial Solomon thinks pitting with pets is the best part of pre-school. / photo by Neil Cook. p. 1 -- Uncaptioned photos of gentlemen playing banjos and fiddles. / photos of Brian Corn. p. 5 -- Dave Warren meets a West Texas ball carrier head - on. / photo by Dennis Underwood. p. 6 -- Herm Wilson and top runner Bob Christensen. p. 7 -- Jim Reinert. p. 7 -- Susan Brandt comparing smiles with the Mona Lisa during the CAC Activities Council print exhibition and tale Monday through Friday in the Shocker Lounge. / photo by Brian Corn. p. 8
