The stability of interest variables and items during adolescence
Baggaley, A.R. (1974). The Stability of Interest Variables and Items during Adolescence. The Journal of Multivariate Experimental Personality and Clinical Psychology, 1(2), 38-45.
A number of studies have been reported dealing with the temporal stability during adolescence of the variables on the Kuder Preference Record. Form C (Herzberg & Bouton, 1954; Reid, 1952; Rosenberg, 1953), and on the Strong Vocational Interest Blank for Men (Canning, 1941; Darley & Hagenah, 1955). Typically the index used was the product-moment correlation coefficient, and the reported values usually exceed .60, with some reaching the high 80's.
