    Abstract
The Eastborough Oil Field was discovered in 1929 and since that time has developed into one of the important fields of Sedgwick County. Its production comes from the top of the "Mississippi Lime", Misener Sand and Viola Lime. Its stratigraphy is typical of that of south central Kansas. The field is on a well defined subsurface anticline which has been the governing factor in the accumulation of the oil. The field has produced over 4,000,000 barrels to date.
