    Abstract
For the past decade or so, public schools in the US have been critiqued by business organizations, think tanks, and policymakers for their outmoded curriculum and teaching methods, for not embracing advances in technology, and for not preparing students for their futures (Business Roundtable, 2013; Committee for Economic Development, 2003; Dede, Korte, Nelson, Valdez, & Ward, 2005).
