Abstract
Reference librarians at Valdosta
State University’s Odum Library
serve as embedded librarians in
many online classes. Librarians
enroll in courses through the
university’s learning management
system (LMS) to interact with
students online. This small but
growing service enhances the library
instruction possibilities for online
classes. Embedded librarian service
is one way librarians and professors
collaborate to provide timely and
relevant research assistance to
students.
