Sensor noise and turbulence effects have been prevalent issues in control system design. Although a control system may respond well to “clean” input signals and commands in simulation, this may not be the case when a controller is tasked to perform in a practical environment. A sensor measurement from the plant may be distorted with noise, or turbulence effects may alter controller behavior. Across various engineering disciplines, the notion of engineered resilience has received much attention in efforts to design safer and more reliable systems [1,2] capable of tolerating uncertainties and disturbances.
