dc.description.abstract"This is the University of Wichita in 1964 - a progressive, growing university offering more advantages to the students than ever before. Not only is the campus growing, but the enrollment is greater than ever. Fall enrollment showed that 1,324 new students were enrolled, bringing the total enrollment to nearly 7,000. The year 1964 is important for another reason. It is the last year the University will be known as the University of Wichita. Beginning in July, 1964, the University will be Wichita State University, having been included in the state system in the spring of 1963. This adds impetus to the growth of an already thriving University."
