Cyanoscorpionate ligands: agostic interactions in a series of metal complexes containing the Tris(4-cyano-3-phenylpyrazolyl)borate and Bis(4-cyano-3-phenylpyrazolyl)borate ligands. European Journal of Inorganic Chemistry Special Issue: The Significance of Scorpionate Ligands 50 Years On (Cluster Issue), Volume 2016, Issue 15-16, pages 2543–2551
Scorpionate chemistry has long featured sandwich complexes with two trispyrazolylborate (Tp) or two bispyrazolylborate (Bp) ligands coordinated to a transition metal. Less common are complexes in which one Tp and one Bp ligand are coordinated to the metal. We report herein five such complexes of Ni-II, Mn-II, Co-II, or Fe-II involving Tp and Bp ligands comprising either 3-phenyl-4-cyanopyrazole or 3-phenylpyrazole, as well as a related Co-II complex with two Tp ligands, one of which is coordinated in a (2) fashion. All complexes feature an agostic interaction with a B-H hydrogen atom.

Supramolecular solar cells: surface modification of nanocrytalline TiO(2) with coordinating ligands to immobilize sensitizers and dyads via metal-ligand coordination for enhanced photocurrent generation Subbaiyan, Navaneetha K.; Wijesinghe, Channa A.; D'Souza, Francis (American Chemical Society, 2009-10-21)An elegant method of self-assembly for modification of a TiO(2) surface using coordinating ligands followed by immobilization of variety of sensitizers and a dyad is reported. This highly versatile method, in addition to ...

(American Chemical Society, 2008-04-21)Diphenyldithiophosphinate (DTP) ligands modified with electron-withdrawing trifluoromethyl (TFM) substitutents are of high interest because they have demonstrated potential for exceptional separation of Am (3+) from ...
Physical, photophysical and structural properties of ruthenium(II) complexes containing a tetradentate bipyridine ligand Kirgan, Robert A.; Witek, P. A.; Moore, Curtis E.; Rillema, D. Paul (Royal Society of Chemistry, 2008-06-28)The focus of this report is the synthesis and properties of two new analogues of ruthenium(ii) tris-bipyridine, a monomer and dimer. The complexes contain the ligand 6,6'-(ethan-1,2-diyl)bis-2,2'-bipyridine (O-bpy) which ...
