    Abstract
Researchers have reported that older adults’ use of computers is associated with reduced depression, and isolation (Cotten, et al., 2014; Czaja et al. 2014 ). These studies involved conventional software such as Facebook. Given the decline in the speed of fluid intelligence with aging (Gutchess, 2015) it might be expected that older adults would prefer a simplified computer environment.
