Abstract
The title compound, [CuCl2(C5H8N 2)2], has been synthesized as part of a project aimed at the synthesis and characterization of scorpionate ligands with cyano substituents. The structure shows the Cu ion coordinated by two 3,5-dimethylpyrazole ligands and two chloride ligands in a tetrahedral coordination geometry. © 2005 International Union of Crystallography Printed in Great Britain - all rights reserved.
