Minutes: Summary of action: 1. Accepted appointment of Atul Rai as At-Large member to the Tenure and Promotion Committee -- (Updates): a. WATC: President Bardo will address the Senate in late January or early February -- (President's report): a. Met with Mark Porcaro (UP, Senate) and Stacy Salters (Classified Senate) to discuss Weapons Safety Policy -- b. Met with Joseph Sheppard (President, Student Government Association) -- (Committee reports): a. Rules Committee: Nomination / Senator Yildlirim -- b. Library Committee: Update from committee: 20% increase in attendance at the library since 2002; Interlibrary loans, new publications and digitizing content are current strengths; challenge continues to be retention of library faculty; question was raised regarding the possibility of an Innovation Campus library and support for Ablah Library was voiced by Provost and Senior Vice President Vizzini -- c. Admission and Exceptions: Proposal for provisional admissions for applicants who do not meet the admissions criteria / Rachel Crane -- (New business): a.
