Description
List of slaves arranged according to type and amount of labor they performed for a preliminary agreement for their sale. Search of federal census records indicates variations of buyer's and seller's names appear in census records of 1790 and 1800 for Charleston, South Carolina. [Page 1] List for Mr. Chollet, "In All 36 Negroes," divided by men, women and children, and arranged according to type of labor they performed, including driver, field work, baker, cooper, and boat work, and quantification of the amount of work each performed. [Page 2] Identification of buyer as Mr. Cholletts and seller as Mr. Pinman.
