Printed copy of the address delivered by Wichita State University president Dr. Eugene M. Hughes at a "1996 Kansas Meeting" of The Newcomen Society of the United States held at WSU's Campus Activities Center ballroom (now Rhatigan Student Center) on September 11, 1996. Published by the Newcomen Society of the United States, the booklet is labeled "Newcomen Publication Number 1485." At the 1996 event, the Newcomen Society presented a service award to Wichita State, the first Kansas Regents university to be recognized.
