Description
"Aeroplane view" looking east from HIllside between 21st street on the north and 17th street on the south shows the future WSU campus as designed by Denver landscape architectural firm McCrary, Culley and Carhart. Plan was developed and adopted by university's board of regents shortly after Harold W. Foght became president in 1927. This drawing was published in the university's annual report for the fiscal year ending June 30, 1928. Present McKinley and Jardine halls and the elliptical drive and sidewalks surrounding Duerksen Fine Arts Center were constructed based on this plan.
