[Page 1] Front of receipt showing payment by Silas Omohundro of $980 for a slave named Albert, 17 years old, signed by William Fisher, through Pulliam Auctioneers in Richmond Virginia, February 19, 1861. The receipt is printed with the template "for the purchase of _ Negro Slave named . . . the right and title of said Slave . . . [Page 2] Reverse of receipt showing that slave was bought for Joseph Silver, Esquire, and paid for by him.
