Abstract
The purpose of this investigation was to study the borate complex
of benzohydroxamic acid. The objectives were 1) to determine
the dissociation constants of benzocydroxamic acid and of the borobenzohydroxamic
acid complex, 2) to find the ratio of boric acid to benzohydroxamic acid in the complex, and 3) to investigate a possible instability of the complex, as reported by Green(5), at high pH.
