Description
Dan Glickman Scrapbook 4 contains material from Glickman’s fifth and sixth terms as a member of the U.S. House of Representatives from Kansas’s 4th district in the 99th to 100th Congresses. The selections include: campaign publicity and fundraising documents; programs from the 43rd Anniversary Warsaw Ghetto Uprising Memorial Service, Bluff City, and the Annual Democratic Follies; a statement made Speaker Jim Wright entitled ‘‘Dan Glickman to Chair Task Force on Safety’’; an announcement for ‘‘The Kansas Challenge’’ program; and a Farm Crisis rally poster. There are numerous publications, which include articles from Glickman's ‘‘Fourth District Report’’ and ‘‘News from Dan Glickman.’’ These scrapbook selections also contain correspondence. The correspondence selections include: a January 27, 1986 letter to Kiichi Miyazawa from Glickman and an August 19, 1986 letter to Bill Howard from Dan Glickman. This scrapbook was compiled by Gladys Glickman, mother of Dan Glickman. Selections are from Dan Glickman Scrapbook 4, pages 7, 12, 26, 29, 31, 39, 40, 42, 49, 53, 65, 72, 90, 94, 101, 104, 108, 112, 114, 143.
