Description

Letter to the ship's owners, Messrs. Dutilh and Wachsmuth, Philadelphia, August 27, 1793. The ship was captured before the British seizure order of November 1793. The British claimed that Ross had French coffee on his ship, which Ross disputed. Ross stated that the long delay and lack of justice to resolve the case constituted mistreatment by the British authorities.
