Minutes: Summary of action taken: 1. Election of 1993-94 Executive Committee: President-Elect: Senator Cavarozzi; Vice President: Senator Murphey; Secretary: Senator G. Davis; Members at Large: Senators Campbell and Horn. Senator Bair was President Clark's appointee -- 2. Election of Budget Committee Members: Senators Sharp, Flentje, Mandt and Hawley -- 3. Passed a Resolution on Program Review Discontinuance: The Senate supports the Faculty votes from the Colleges on Program Review. Discontinuance of a program should not occur until the new program that is to take its place is in position and/ or lines are moved to the department as outlined in the College documents. Where available , student polls and/or demand are to be reported to the Board of Regents -- (Informal proposals and statements): Comment regarding start time / Senator Sharp -- Comment regarding smoking ban / Senator Daugherty-- (President's report): Senate response to University Program Discontinuance process -- Negative response from College of Business and the College of Education regarding Program Review -- (Elections)
