Abstract
If it has not been apparent through this column, SAMPE has been a significant part of my professional career. Consequently, it has also been a significant part of my life. SAMPE helped me to establish my academic credentials and provide me a network of friends. Thus whenever I extol the virtues of this organization, it turns personal. There is no way for me to distinguish SAMPE the organization from SAMPE the family.
