Abstract
A method suitable for digital computer programming is developed for determining the load corrections on a swept-lifting surface due to a control surface deflection. The load corrections are made to account for a swept load reference axis. The load corrections obtained by the method developed here are compared to loads without the corrections and to load corrections obtained by an accurate semi-graphical integration method. Comparison of the loads indicates that the corrections due to the sweep-back of the airfoil are significant and cannot be ignored. A comparison of the load corrections with the corrections obtained by the semi-graphical integration method indicate that the method developed is extremely accurate.
