Abstract
It is the purpose of this report to discuss the ideas in conception and technique as they have evolved in my work during the years 1962-1964. My concern in art has been to arrive at an image which expresses or symbolizes the totality of an experience - of man's relationship with his environment. I have tried to project an inner landscape a landscape of the mind -the imagery not being determined by an analytical attack on the outward appearances of nature but by a subjective recreation of its equivalent.
The work consists primarily of collage-paintings and drawings of various media. And it is this series of work which will be exhibited as my Master of Fine Arts exhibition.
