Abstract
The topic contained herein was undertaken so that heat balance calculations of sodium chloride solutions would be ·greatly simplified. An analytical method for obtaining an enthalpymass fraction chart, an entropy-mass fraction chart, and a composite enthalpy-entropy-mass fraction diagram is presented for sodium chloride solutions. The above diagrams have utility in the area of sea water separation as the properties of sodium chloride solutions and sea water are very much alike. The data used in the analysis was collected from published scientific literature.
