Description
Dan Glickman Scrapbook 3 contains material from Glickman’s second through fifth terms as a member of the U.S. House of Representatives from Kansas’s 4th district in the 96th to 99th Congresses. The selections include: campaign publicity and fundraising documents, programs and invitations from the Temple Emanu-El Brotherhood, the Mid-Kansas Jewish Federation, the Independence Chamber of Commerce, the Wichita Area Chamber of Commerce, Wichita High School Southeast, and the Wichita Community Israel Bond Banquet. There are numerous publications, which include articles from ‘‘News from Committee on Science and Technology, U.S. House of Representatives,’’ the ‘‘Congressional Record,’’ Glickman’s ‘‘Reports to the Fourth,’’ and articles from ‘‘News from Dan Glickman.’’ These scrapbook selections also contain correspondence. The correspondence selections include: a May 29, 1984 letter from Dan Glickman to his colleagues; a December 22, 1981 letter and September 24, 1982 letter to John Block from Dan Glickman; a December 7, 1981 letter to Milton Glickman from Dan Glickman; a February 1, 1983 letter to Elizabeth Dole from Dan Glickman; a January 19, 1984 letter to The Nobel Committee of the Norwegian Parliament from Dan Glickman; and a February 14, 1984 letter to Dan Glickman from Samuel W. Lewis. This scrapbook was compiled by Gladys Glickman, mother of Dan Glickman.
