Abstract:
The thirty third volume of Lambda Alpha Journal presents three papers with topics in
archaeology, cultural anthropology, and museums. Volume 33 opens with
an article by Daniel Proctor and
provides an analysis of the presence of “dwarves” or little people in
Mayan vessels according to Mayan mythology.
Immediately following, Ingrid Mendoza gives us her own perspective on
the kivas of the ancient puebloan people of the United States Southwest.
The next article is by Lindsay Waros addressing the relationship between
museums and anthropology. Reviews of two
books in the area of biological anthropology are included.
