dc.description.abstractThe transverse compression behavior of honeycomb core under oblique loading has been investigated experimentally. The effects of off-axis loading angles ranging between 0° and 45° and thicknesses ranging between 0.5 to 2 inches on the compression behavior has been addressed. A decrease in peak load of 20 lbs per degree change in off-axis angle and a decrease in crush load of 10 lbs per degree change in off-axis angle was observed. No significant thickness effects were observed for the 0° off-axis angle.en
