An index to "The Sunflower", Wichita State University's student newspaper (1896 - 1992) was published in conjunction with the University's centennial (1895-1995). In most cases, index entries are added only at inception, special events, recognition, or discontinuation of activities or organizations. Faculty members are mentioned upon recognition for honors, publications and important speeches. A complete set of The Sunflower is available on microfilm in the Reserve department of Ablah Library. The actual newspapers are held in the Department of Special Collections and University Archives.
