Abstract:
This study incorporates data from a European archaeological cemetery site. Two select published standards for estimating age by documented long bone length, dental formation and eruption have been reviewed. Research was performed to establish whether patterns presented themselves within the European series and between two pre and proto historic North American juvenile long bone growth studies. The efficiency of age estimation from long bone length and dental formation and eruption has also been reviewed. This research will aid in determining whether a juvenile profile of age estimation can be determined within this small sample of juvenile long bones.
